CAMP FERN CELEBRATES 75 YEARS

ALUMNI REUNION

October 2 - 4, 2009

Remember Camp Fern!  Set in the rolling hills of East Texas, nestled among the towering pines and the spreading oaks, mirrored in the clear, blue waters of a hundred acres spring-fed lake, bathed by the sun and washed by the rain, it draws on nature at her best.  It's a world of kids being kids - experimenting, learning, exploring, laughing, accomplishing, competing, achieving, living, enjoying.

Remember your days at Camp Fern!  Spirited, fun-loving, anxious to grow up, eager to make friends and to be friends, you made your home away from home.

Return there with us now!  Fern's 75 th reunion is scheduled for October 2 - 4, 2009.

We begin with a reception and light supper, followed by a sing-a-long around the campfire and traditional tribe drawing for spouses and friends.  Tribe leaders will be elected. 

Saturday morning is Field Day and war canoe races followed by a more low-key afternoon of riding, ropes, crafts, archery, water skiing and other activities.  You may choose to participate or simply watch the fun and browse the many scrapbooks or watch old movies.  Saturday night is the Banquet followed by sailing wishboats.  Afterward, there is plenty of time for visiting beneath the stars, playing pranks or even a sunrise walk to Lake Margaret.  Sunday is a Green Cathedral service followed by a memorable Sunday lunch, Camp Fern style.

We hope you'll join us for the entire weekend.  If that's not possible, sign up for any part of it that you can attend.  Many stay in cabins while others choose the more modern conveniences of area hotels or bed and breakfasts.  Spouses and friends welcome!
